One Couple's Journey

About Me
One Couple's Journey

My name is Betsey, and my husband Ryan and I moved into assisted living two years ago. In that time I've been able to pick up new skills (such as the ones enabling me to start this blog!), rediscover old hobbies and make new friends--all because I've regained some of the independence I felt I had lost when we were living unsupported in our home. I'd like to share our stories with the world, and help to demystify the process of entering a nursing home or assisted accommodation--it needn't be a scary or negative thing, and might just be the best thing that's happened to you for years!
